Teil zu lesen😍~ Follow me for more bookish content on Instagram: @anna_amalia_reads 🫶🏼
⭐️ 3.75 stars. This was a good time overall, but I have to say it didn’t hit as hard as the first two books in the series. I liked the couple — Talia and Foster — and definitely enjoyed their chemistry, but something about the emotional connection just didn’t fully land for me. The biggest thing that held me back was the way the second-chance romance was handled. I really needed at least some flashbacks to when they first fell in love. I don’t always love dual timelines, but in second-chance romances, I think it’s essential. I want to see what they had before — otherwise, it’s hard to truly understand what they’re fighting for now. The “secret” Foster was keeping? I expected something more shocking or emotionally impactful. It wasn’t bad, just not as twisty or compelling as I thought it would be. And the whole situation with Vivian still being part of the picture made it hard to connect at times. It complicated things in a way that didn’t add much value for me. I liked Talia and Foster individually, and they were sweet together, but I didn’t feel as attached to them as I did with the previous couples. I think that’s really the core of it — it just lacked that something that makes a romance linger with you. Still, it was a solid read. I’m definitely continuing the series, and I’m so excited for Eloise’s book next — she’s one of my favorite characters so far, and I can’t wait to see her story unfold with Jasper. So yeah it was good. A 3.75 stars feels right. Not quite a 4 star read for me, but I had a good time.
3,5⭐️ It was nice, but I am still not a biggest fan of second chance
