Und nur ein paar Meilen weiter verhungerten die Leute - eine grauenhafte Vorstellung." Mit "Drawn Together" habe ich nun mein erstes Buch von der so gefeierten Mercedes Ron gelesen. Und DAS habe ich nicht erwartet. Das Buch war eigentlich totaler Schrott, aber eben genau deswegen so süchtigmachend. Es ergab hinten und vorne keinen Sinn, war extrem überdramatisch und mit einem furchtbaren Schreibstil und trotzdem konnte ich es nicht weglegen. Die Handlung war.... dramatisch. Es ging dauernd hin und her und unsere Marfil hat kein Fünkchen Verstand, die sich selbst immer und immer wieder in Schwierigkeiten bringt. Sie war so todesnervig, dass ich dauerhaft die Augen verdrehen musste. Sebastian war da nicht viel besser. Der komplette Bodyguard-Stereotyp - dunkel, geheimnisvoll und mit böser Vergangenheit. ABER Marfil will ihn natürlich seit Sekunde 1! Die Tension zwischen den beiden war nicht existent und es gab weder spürbare Gefühle noch erkennbare Tiefe. Sie konnten dennoch die Finger nicht voneinander lassen. Der häufige Spice ist der Grund, warum man es nicht als Buch für 12/14-Jährige vermarkten kann, obwohl der Rest danach schreit. Der Spice war aber tatsächlich gut. Es fehlte in allem die Logik, vor allem im Verhalten der Charaktere. Grundsätzlich war vor allem Marfil eigentlich dumm wie Brot. Dieses Buch versucht alle Klischees zu verbinden - von Zitaten aus Twilight bis hin zu Plotpunkten, bei denen man aufstöhnen muss. Und doch war es wahrscheinlich gerade deswegen so süchtig-machend und spannend. Es ist wie ein Unfall - man will nicht hinsehen, kann aber nicht wegschauen. Ich habe doppelt so schnell gelesen wie normalerweise und war wirklich auf irgendeine Art und Weise richtig hooked. Das Ende war auch wieder extrem spannend und ich wollte danach sofort Band 2, den es noch nicht gibt. Auch wenn ich nicht mehr weiß, was passiert ist 🤣. Der Schreibstil war grottenschlecht, geschrieben wie von einer Zehnjährigen. Ich weiß nicht, ob es an der Übersetzung lag, aber das war schon ... puh. Keine Beschreibungen und nur kurze, unterbundene Sätze. Und diese Autorin feiern alle so? Fazit: Es hat mich extrem unterhalten und gefesselt, auch wenn es eigentlich Schrott war 🤣
