Reviewed by carsNot a necessity to understand the GrishaVerse, but unbearable for a little deep dive! Not only does this graphic novel feature stunning art with its‘ expressions, movements and wielding-portrayal (shout out to the artist Dani Pendergast), it also offers a look into the Darkling‘d past. It doesn’t give much detail for his overall life, but it shows fragments of what a boy had to go through, for him to become a ruthless General, ready to sacrifice need be for his goal. I enjoyed it a lot, perfect for a quick read (and even better for when you wonder whether someone is hero or villain — in whatever twisted way that may be)!
