Reviewed by Agostina.4.5⭐ This was SO good! I wasn't expecting it to be 100% interview, but it was a pleasant surprise. It flows super well, and I love the writing. It's such a breath of fresh air to love a book even though you kinda hate the characters. They were great, and flawed, and vulnerable, and unlikeable... Highly entertaining stuff, even with that HIMYM-esque ending.

I cannot understand how it is possible to describe this atmosphere of the whole music genre and spirit of the 70s it such a unique way of storytelling. I usually cannot read books more than once, but I am hundred percent sure that this book is going to be read several times!
Reviewed by NinaEine beeindruckend ehrliche Geschichte über den kometenhaften Aufstieg einer Rockband aus den 70ern, die auch vor schwierigen Thematiken nicht Halt macht. Die Erzählweise ist angelehnt an den Stil eines Interviews mit den einzelnen Charakteren. Anfangs war ich gerade deswegen ein wenig skeptisch, wurde aber schnell in die Geschichte hereingezogen. TJR schafft es trotz des außergewöhnlichen Schreibstils, eine nahbare und besondere Atmosphäre herzustellen, die der Geschichte um Daisy und die Band Leben einhaucht. Besonders gelungen sind die Beziehungen zwischen den einzelnen Charakteren, die durch das Interview-Setting noch einmal besonders betont werden. Ich konnte das Buch nicht aus der Hand legen und habe es an einem Tag beendet! 5 ⭐️
Reviewed by Angelina 3,5⭐️ Nachdem ich »The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo« von Taylor Jenkins Reid so geliebt habe, hatte ich auch ziemlich hohe Erwartungen an das Buch, die leider nicht ganz erfüllt wurden. Den Schreibstil und auch die ganze Idee der Story rund um die Band fand ich echt gut. Generell mochte ich den Vibe in dem Buch richtig gerne. Leider hat es aber ziemlich gedauert bis ich mit den Charakteren warm geworden bin und deswegen kam ich auch nicht ganz so gut in die Geschichte rein. Ab der zweiten Hälfte fand ich es dann aber immer besser und konnte ab da dann auch mehr mitfühlen
