Gerry Badger

Gerry Badger wurde in Northampton, England, geboren und ist als Fotograf, Architekt und Fotokritiker tätig. Zu seinen Büchern zählen „Collecting Photography“ (2002), „The Genius of Photography“ (2007), „The Pleasures of Good Photographs“ (2010) und „Another Country“ (2022). Gemeinsam mit Martin Parr veröffentlichte er die mehrbändige Reihe „The Photobook: A History“ (2004–2014), die mit dem Deutschen Fotobuchpreis und dem Kraszna-Krausz-Preis ausgezeichnet wurde. „The Pleasures of Good Photographs“ erhielt 2011 den Infinity Writer’s Award des International Center of Photography. 2018 wurde Badger mit dem J. Dudley Johnston Award der Royal Photographic Society geehrt. Sein erstes Fotobuch, „It Was a Grey Day“ mit Aufnahmen aus Berlin, erschien 2015.
