It shows how women have the power to love each other, care for each other and survive devastating heartbreaks in life that men have caused.</b></i> In present day, History graduate Caroline Parcewell heads to London for a supposed trip with her husband for their anniversary. She travels alone in hopes of clearing her mind after her husband's secret has come to light. On the trip, she discovers a blue vial with a bear etched. She goes on a research for the history of the vial. In 1791, Nella creates poisons she sells only to women who seek her 0ut for vengeance against men in their lives. Along the way, one specific case goes wrong. The lives of these women merge as Caroline pieces the case together and finds clarity in her marriage. ------ Finished this book in a jiffy. Eliza was still a naive little girl who had no clue how the world around her really operated. Nella was hell-bent on cursing men who committed atrocities against women by creating poisons for them. <b>Plot & Point</b> Historical accuracy: apothecaries might have disappeared from our history over time but we still have cases of poisoning over the decades through various items we still have today. The point was to show how women from all ages are there to learn from each other and care for each other. It's not about poisoning the men. It's about finding comfort and learning to love yourself than men.. Loving men without loving yourself first will leave you clueless on how to function once your heart is broken. It's such a thrilling chase and read!
