It’s been months since the day we stood above that empty grave that stunk of burnt flesh and secrets. All of us were dressed to the nines, one of us wearing a wedding dress, a day that was supposed to mark the beginning of a new adventure. It marked the bitter end of our vengeance. We have done things that have marked our souls for eternity. But it didn’t start out that way. Not for me.It all started there. The place I could find in my sleep.Hollow Heights University in the macabre, somber seaside town of Ponderosa Springs.A college for prestigious, wealthy children to receive the highest education. A town drowning in treachery and secrets that became our damnation. But it wasn’t the forest surrounding the grounds or even the mysterious hidden mausoleum that haunted me.It was them. The ones that lurked in the night, things so wicked, so twisted, so evil, they would become the rulers of my nightmares. The Hollow Boys. One wrong move and I landed myself directly in their line of fire. This is not a story about love, it is not a story of happy endings.Love just happened to blossom in our sorrows, in our pain, our fear, our blood.Every terrible thing they ever did, we watched, we helped, we loved them anyway. Some run from their monsters, we fell in love with ours.

Alistair put that tattoo on me, now.
Love the friendships in this book but I wish there were more scenes between alistair and Briar since they are the main couple for this book
4.5⭐️ this was actually so great??!?! Maybe it’s me but I feel like dark romace books tend to have great written FMCs as well as (kinda) respectful MMCs. At least towards her and the people they like. The only thing I would have liked to see and what I believe to be an important thing to have been in the book, would be more of Alistairs parents (where I do get that they weren’t seen that much when we look at their relationship) or Briars parents. But the rest was very close to perfection. It wasn’t too much and neither was it too little. I do feel like it was kind of rushed near the end but it could’ve just felt that way due to the little time skips from time to time (which were never unreasonable in my eyes). And maybe we’ll see more in the next parts (ehich I doubt because it doesn’t rebolve around them no more :/ ) Anyway all in all I would definitely recommend this series. It’s like the Devils Night series just more plot based and tbh just better. And it also seems to be lowkey Rina Kent books coded. Just saying if u liked either of those, you’ll love this.
