Rezension von MichelleDas Buch hat mich echt sprachlos zurückgelassen! Let me tell you, dass es echt mal ✨etwas ganz anderes ✨ ist 🥲 Die Geschichte ist tiefgründig und dunkel und handelt von Kannibalismus, Liebe, Missbrauch und vielem mehr. Wirklich verstörend, aber trotzdem in den Bann ziehend. Nichts für schwache Nerven, würde ich mal behaupten 🙈

Something about the poetic descriptions Lucy Rose uses just works so well for me. It hurts in an all too familiar way. A stunning masterpiece. I think I might’ve found my new favorite author 🤭
Rezension von Raphaela Eine interessante,wenn auch sperrige Geschichte, über eine dysfunktionale Familie zu deren Familientraditon der Kannibalismus gehört. Erzählt aus der Perspektive der 11jährigen Tochter, die hin- und hergerissen ist, zwischen der zuhause erlernten Kultur, dem Bedürfnis, in der normalen Welt Freunde zu haben und der Angst, dass die neue Partnerin sie aus dem Leben der Mutter verdrängen könnte.
Rezension von ArtemisYou wanna tell me that's her debut!!!! novel? I wouldn't believe it if I didn't know better. This book is so beautifully written, and my heart broke over and over again. The only issue I had, was the relationship between Eden and Margot's mom. It felt so rushed and for me it didn't make sense. But maybe I just didn't get it. To be fair, this book is merely 300 pages long. A slow burn romance would be quite impossible. But still, it felt weird to me. Overall I really enjoyed this, in the weirdest way possible. My stomach surely felt sick at times and the last 50 pages I wanted to put it down because it was too much for me. Lucy Rose, please never stop writing.
