Rezension von Dr Malini BhatI went into The Break-Up Pact expecting a super cute fake-dating romance, and in many ways it delivered that cozy, rom-com comfort. The childhood friends-to-lovers dynamic between June and Levi was sweet, and I loved the small-town vibe and the tea shop setting — it had that soft, feel-good atmosphere that makes for a very easy read. That said, the story didn’t fully hit the emotional depth I was hoping for. A lot of the conflict relies on miscommunication, and at times the romance felt a bit predictable. The pacing in the middle also slowed things down for me, and I wished the tension between the characters had been explored more. Overall, it’s a light, comforting romance with lovable moments and familiar tropes. Not the most memorable rom-com I’ve read, but still a pleasant, cozy read if you’re in the mood for something soft and easy.
