Rezension von Lina*!!enthält Spoiler!!* My favourite character? Definitely, Jamie. OMG, I love him. The thing is that I really ship him and Lottie because they are so undeniably cute. While Ellie kind of catches feelings for Lottie, I can't really decide if Lottie also likes her back or just sees a friend in her. I mean, in the first book, it was obvious that she was jealous from time to time. Still, I can read all the hints towards Jamie. But this could also be because I literally simp for Jamie. He really has my heart, as he struggles to find his place while trying his best to protect Ellie and now even Lottie, although he actually shouldn't care about her. It really broke my heart in the grand finale, where he could just sit and watch helpless while Ellie fought Ingrid. Now enough about the character drama. I liked the plot. This whole idea of poisoning was really interesting, and when it turned out that everything was planned out by Leviathan, I thought everything through, and I was really amazed at how well this story was constructed. I also liked the side stories about Lottie's family origin and the closer look into the relationship between Anastasia and Saskia. And again, the whole charm of Rosewood kept me reading. Why did I give only 3 stars? Well, I think I'm kinda a bit too old for this book. Also, it took a while for the story to develop, so in the beginning, it was hard to keep on reading. In comparison to other books I read, I have to give 3 stars.
