Rezension von Ilo…An sich war der Plot gut, ich bin ehrlich nicht darauf gekommen. Mir gefiel der Schreibstil allerdings nicht so wirklich, und auch die Dialoge fand ich nicht sonderlich ansprechend. Insgesamt fand ich die Story gut, und den Plot konnte ich, wie gesagt, nicht durchschauen. Die Charaktere konnten mich jedoch nicht in den Bann ziehen Weder der Tod von Jet hat mich erschüttert, noch konnte ich die Beziehung ernst nehmen. Daher fand ich das Ende gar nicht berührend. Das ist aber natürlich Geschmackssache. Wegen des Plots und der Story-Idee gebe ich dem Buch 2,75 Sterne.
Rezension von KimDer Anfang hat mir tatsächlich noch richtig gut gefallen – spannende Prämisse, gutes Tempo und eine Geschichte, die neugierig macht. Dafür wären es für mich zunächst durchaus 3,5 Sterne gewesen. Leider hat das Buch im letzten Drittel für mich stark nachgelassen. Die ständigen Wiederholungen rund um Jets verbleibende sieben Tage und ihren eingeschränkten Arm wurden zunehmend anstrengend. Auch die Handlung wurde mir irgendwann einfach zu konstruiert und die großen Enthüllungen wirkten auf mich eher überzogen als clever. Dazu kam, dass sich das Buch für mich erstaunlich wenig wie ein Thriller für Erwachsene angefühlt hat. Jet ist 27, wirkt in ihrem Verhalten und in vielen Dialogen aber eher wie ein Teenager. Dadurch konnte ich als Leserin leider nur schwer eine Verbindung zu ihr aufbauen – irgendwann fand ich sie schlicht anstrengend. Das abrupte Ende hat dann leider den letzten Rest rausgehauen. Ich habe irgendwann nur noch überflogen, weil mich die Geschichte nur noch genervt hat. Schade, denn die Grundidee fand ich wirklich gut. Den großen Hype um das Buch kann ich persönlich allerdings nicht nachvollziehen – dafür habe ich schon deutlich bessere Thriller gelesen.
Rezension von PolaSeit längerem mal wieder etwas anderes als Romance… Am Anfang musste ich erst mal etwas in das Story Telling rein kommen, aber nach 50 Seiten war ich gepackt! Ich konnte schon erahnen wer der Mörder war, aber die Motive herauszufinden war trotzdem sehr spannend!
