The MMC would have been such a green flag, if it weren't for the full blown hacking of the FMC's phone and therefore stalking. Apparently, for the FMC the green flags are enough for her to simply forget about the whole thing and not even be mad. The ending of the book was a little bit messy and would have benefited by being longer. Still, the humor was worth it.

I devoured this book like a delicacy. Laura Bishop serves her readers a funny dark romance in the style of Lights Out. With a lot of finesse and heart, the author tells a love story that will truly resonate with everyone. It’s a wonderful book with a unique and captivating plot—one I personally haven’t seen before. The female protagonist is a Catholic Italian woman with a bit more on her hips and a boyfriend who constantly puts her down and tries to change her. Our male protagonist is a former soldier who has worked in every area of security and now starts at the same company as our FMC. From the very first moment he sees her, he knows he wants to win this beauty over—and he repeatedly witnesses how her boyfriend humiliates her and belittles her. When her best friend suggests a KI-boyfriend app, he comes up with a plan: hack her phone and embody an AI boyfriend for the woman of his dreams. Between fake identities, theft, and odd partners who keep stirring up drama, readers can expect a fantastic romance full of spice and a book boyfriend who is absolutely to die for.
