Rezension von tonithis book really was not it. it states that you will see the real story of the stepmother in cinderella, but you really just get a reverse villain story where elin (cinderella) is the bad one. it really isn‘t feminism to me to make a bad woman relatable and good by toring another down. generally speaking, this was not feminist at all. i mean okay, they are not married at the end of the book, but this is not feminism. what i also didn‘t like was the speed of the book. up until 70% NOTHING was happening. the story dragged and i just read descriptions of falcony and a lot of mimimi because their house is in such a bad state and they do not have enough money. fair enough, there was a lot of action in the last 30% but that didn‘t make up for my boredom before. and i was also very very disgusted a lot of the time, because the plottwist was.. scary to say the least. i was horrified by the disgust. the „love“-story in the last few pages also felt very forced and was very much not needed. so yeah.. absolutely hated this book and would not recommend. absolute waste of time and when you‘re looking for true feminist stories you should stay far far away from this book.
