Rezension von ChiaraIch weiß gar nicht so recht was ich zu dem Buch sagen soll. Ich weiß nicht mal ob ich es geliebt habe oder wirklich abscheulich fand, deshalb die 3 Sterne. „Franny und Zooey“ war total überwältigend im positiven und negativen Sinne. Die Gedanken des Romans - die Kritik am Pseudo-Intellekt der Studierenden und Professoren und dem Ego der Menschen, aber auch die Interpretation von Religion und Glaube - waren sehr eindringlich, emotional und mitreißend. Auch die Gefühlslage der Protagonist*innen Franny und Zooey, welche durch Trauer, Verzweiflung und Verlust geprägt waren, sind sehr intensiv und explizit dargestellt worden. Für mich besonders nachvollziehbar war die Suche nach Zugehörigkeit und Sinn im Leben, welche besonders Menschen in den 20ern umtreibt und in diesem Roman durch Frannys Zusammenbruch gut verbildlicht wurde. Auch gefallen hat mir die Darstarstellunc der Szenerie, dass (fast) die ganze Handlung an einem Tag stattgefunden hat, und die Unordnung der Wohnung, des Bades und der anstehenden Malerarbeiten maßgeblich zu stressiger Gefühlen beim Lesen beigetragen hat, welche sehr zu der Stimmung des Buches gepasst haben. Was ich nicht ganz verstehen konnte und mich auch sehr gestresst hat, war die unglaubliche Gemeinheit und Boshaftigkeit, mit welcher Zooey seiner Mutter gegenüber tritt. Dass er sie mit „Dicke“ und „dumm“ konstant beschimpft hat, fand ich doch etwas arg und hat mich einfach sehr gestört. Klar, Zooey ist ein echter Egomane, der total von sich überzeugt ist, aber das fand ich schon echt abartig. Auch der Schreibstil war teilweise super anstrengend. Salinger zieht die Sätze durch unendlich viele Nebensätze so lang, dass es teilweise echt nicht schön war zu lesen. Ich bin jetzt irgendwie genervt nach dem Buch, aber es war auch echt mitreißend. Ich mochte Franny auf alle Fälle sehr.
