Es war echt gut und freue mich schon sehr auf die anderen Bücher. Ich mag den schreib style von der Autorin. Liebe auch die Liebe zwischen anson und rhodes

loved every second of it !!! Hab zwischenzeitlich kurz vergessen das die Bücher auch suspense beinhalten und war über den plottwist leicht überrascht, jedoch hat dieser Moment gerade die Spannung gut geschaffen und das Ende um so mehr zu einem Happy End gemacht <3

the plot twists were good but in general it was a bit long sometimes.

3.75⭐️ the ending got me hooked again after i lost interest a bit but damn that was good. i liked this book from the beginning and it was really interesting and the backstory of anson being a former fbi profiler. he got too involved with a serial killer case which brought him to quit that life and move to sparrow falls. but all of a sudden this very serial killer started to become active again. in the meantime rhodes went back to her families property which burned down when she was a teenager and left her without her family. all of a sudden her past gets brought up again by suspicion fires and notes / gifts left for her. when it came out that the fire that killed her parents was in fact not an accident, i was fully into it. someone tried to finish the job and kill rhodes. in my opinion that dragged on a bit and actually lost me for a bit. i started to not care tbh. when all of a sudden felix, rhos first kiss, was believed to be the culprit i thought that was super underwhelming. which was kinda the point because surprise… it wasn’t actually him. looking back i like the deception. the actual serial killer, the hangman, was in town and was the one who is behind the attempts to kill rhodes. back in the day and today. and it was silas. a member of sheps construction crew that has been friends with rho ever since she moved to sparrow falls. he was the serial killer anson was too involved with and the one to try to kill rhodes. at first i thought that was a stretch, like what are the odds but when his backstory and motivation was revealed i was back into it. to me that felt like straight out of criminal minds. he was fixated on rho because she was nice to him when they were teenagers. he thought they were meant to be together. but when she had kissed felix, things escalated for silas. he hated her for that but also set multiple fires to try to eliminate everything that stood between him and rhodes. including her family. he even meant to kill her to get free of her. but when she survived he found his biggest pleasure in watching her hurting over her dead family. he went on murder sprees across the country and murdered women that reminded him of her. that was how anson was connected with him. when anson was the only one to be able to figure out silas’ clues he also got fixated on him. he murdered his sister and found pleasure in watching anson suffer. when anson fled to sparrow falls that was a godsend gift for silas. now he got to see his two fixations suffer at the same place. when they got together however, that enraged silas. he tried everything to bring back the agony both rho and anson experienced by reminding them of what happened to them. but it didn’t work so he kidnapped rho in hopes of killing her in front of anson. to bring him the ultimate torture. romance wise, i liked how rho and anson got closer and closer and had this deep understanding for each other. they just got each other you know. they were each others joy and light. even tho it was their trauma that kept pushing them together but ansons need to protect rho came from a completely different place. he was dream to her loud and colorful personality and just couldn’t stay away. their life was intertwined with each other due to some twisted things but they found each other in that anyways. love the found family aspect. the way they all refer to each other as siblings was so sweet. can’t wait for each of their books. also lollie was my favorite lol.
