Rezension von Maike SchreiberAuf den ersten Seiten war ich mir nicht sicher, ob ich mit Eleanor als Protagonistin warm werde. Aber das hat sich sehr schnell geändert. Ein stark geschriebenes Buch über Einsamkeit und Trauma. Inhaltlich nicht immer einfach, aber dran bleiben lohnt sich.
Rezension von Lechatrouge“Eleanor Oliphant sta benissimo “ ist ein sehr flüssiger und leicht zu lesender Roman. Auf den ersten Blick wirkt er leicht, aber er behandelt wichtige Themen, die zum Nachdenken anregen. Zum Beispiel soziale Normen, Einsamkeit und Freundlichkeit gegenüber anderen Menschen. Das Buch zeigt auch, wie wichtig kleine Gesten sind, die für manche Menschen sehr viel bedeuten können. Die Protagonistin hat mir viel Zärtlichkeit geweckt. Sie wirkt ein bisschen wie ein Kind, das zum ersten Mal merkt, dass es freundliche Menschen auf der Welt gibt, die sich ehrlich für sie interessieren. Der Roman zeigt sehr gut, wie Einsamkeit die Fähigkeit beeinflusst, soziale Beziehungen zu führen. Außerdem wird deutlich, wie wichtig soziale Kontakte für die mentale Gesundheit sind. Ein weiteres zentrales Thema ist, wie wichtig es ist, mit anderen Menschen zu sprechen, wenn man Probleme hat. Auch Veränderung wird im Buch positiv dargestellt: nicht als etwas Negatives, sondern als Chance und als Anstoß für etwas Neues und Besseres.
Rezension von LenaIch hatte bei der Auswahl des Buches keinerlei Ahnung vom Inhalt, doch nach kurzer Zeit (die ich brauchte um Eleanors Gags auf Englisch zu verstehen) war ich soo tief in der Geschichte drin und habe es geliebt!! 🧡Ihre Perspektive auf das Leben und wie sie lernt, früh gelernte Glaubenssätze zu hinterfragen ist so schön mitzuverfolgen. Irgendwie ist es auch nochmal ein kleiner Reminder, Menschen die man „komisch“ findet nicht frühzeitig zu verurteilen, because you never know their story🤞🏼 Ich konnte gar nicht mehr aufhören zu lesen und empfehle es vollen Herzens weiter.
