Rezension von Lele Ich habe soeben das Buch »Brennendes Grab« von Linda Castillo beendet. Es ist mein zweites Buch von ihr, weil ich davor eben auch ein Band ihrer Kate-Burkholder-Reihe gelesen habe. Und ich muss sagen, das Buch hat mir wieder gut gefallen, aber es gab einige Parallelen zu dem vorherigen Band, den ich gelesen habe, was ich etwas schade fand. Nichtsdestotrotz lässt sich das Buch sehr schnell weglesen. Ich habe es innerhalb von zwei Tagen beendet. Die Handlung ist spannend, man lernt alle Figuren in Painter's Mill, in dem kleinen armischen Dorf, kennen. Eben der einzige Kritikpunkt war die vielen Parallelen und das teilweise wiederholen der Handlung. Und am Ende des Buchs gab es auch eine Wendung, die auch nicht weiter thematisiert wurde, was ich mir gewünscht hätte. So, jetzt Achtung Spoiler! Parallelen, die ich meine, waren zum Beispiel, dass Kate schon wieder beschossen wird von einem unbekannten Schützen nachts, was auch in dem vorherigen Band genau so war und genau so aufgebaut wurde. Dann zu Beginn des Buchs war es auch so, dass Kate Burgholder sagt, ja, setzt eine Anzeige für 500 Dollar aus für Infos und dass sie nicht weiß, woher sie das Geld nehmen soll. Also ich würde sogar behaupten, dass es 1 zu 1 ein Zitat ist, das auch in dem vorherigen Band vorkam, was ich sehr, sehr, sehr schade finde. Und eine weitere Parallele gab es mit einer Schwangerschaft, die quasi verheimlicht wurde. Plus Kate Burkholder hat wieder von einem äußeren Merkmal eines Kindes auf den leiblichen Vater geschlossen, was einfach auch, sag ich mal, wieder so übernommen wurde, was ich auch sehr schade fand. Aber nichtsdestotrotz war es eine gute Geschichte. Aber halt nicht so gut wie der vorherige Band, den ich gelesen hatte. 2,5/5 ⭐️
