It took me a little while to warm up to the characters and the plotline, but once it clicked, I really enjoyed the humor and the contrasting dynamics between the characters. The story alternates between past and present, with the past gradually catching up to the present timeline. This structure allows readers to slowly uncover more of the characters’ shared history, which builds suspense effectively. Since the ending of a romance novel is often predictable, I appreciated that I wasn’t entirely sure how things would turn out until the final pages. In my opinion, creating that level of suspense while still maintaining strong romantic elements was handled very successfully. That said, there were moments when the characters’ actions felt frustrating, especially since many of their issues could have been resolved with better communication. Overall, I would definitely recommend You and Me on Vacation, and I can’t wait to dive into the Netflix adaptation now that I’ve finished the book.

War ganz schön und nett zu lesen. Gerade der letzte Teil hat mir gut gefallen.
It was really good. There were parts I really liked, but also parts I didn't like so much. But overall, it was a great, emotional book!
Schön geschrieben, sehr humorvoll. Sehr vorhersehbar
