Rezension von Valentina StevicIt was definitely exciting again, and I flew through the pages! The writing style was also very good. I found it a bit weaker than volume 1, and the ending was a bit confusing. Still, I definitely recommend it!
Rezension von JennyWas ich an diesem Buch so gefeiert habe: Man konnte sich nicht wirklich sicher sein, wer wirklich der Schurke der Geschichte war. Natürlich denkt man zunächst, Eli ist der Gute, aber ich habe in diesem Buch immer mehr und mehr an Victor gehangen. Im Laufe des Buches habe ich angefangen Eli immer und immer weniger zu mögen. Er schien mir wie ein Fanatiker. Er war gewalttätig und wollte nichts anderes als Victor zur Strecke zu bringen. Victor ist natürlich auch nicht ohne, aber er hatte wenigstens Empathie übrig für diejenigen, die ihm Nahe standen. Besonders Sidney hatte er um jeden Preis beschützen wollen. Zudem wurde ein neuer Charakter vorgestellt namens Marcella. Und sie war definitiv nicht ohne, aber irgendwie mochte ich sie. Sie hatte eine starke Persönlichkeit und einen starken Willen. So lange wie sie unterdrückt wurde, hatte sie gelernt, sich nicht mehr klein reden zu lassen und das zu tun, was sie näher ihrem Ziel brachte. Und dann gab es noch June, bei der ich zunächst misstrauisch war. Aber sie war gut zu Sidney, weswegen ich mehr und mehr Vertrauen fassen konnte. Dennoch sind immer noch nicht alle Fragen zu ihr beantwortet. Dadurch, dass die beiden Charaktere dazu kamen und sehr viel von Sidney erzählt wurde, rückten Eli und Victor etwas in den Hintergrund. Was ich jetzt aber nicht allzu schlimm fand, weil die drei Frauen sehr interessant waren und eine tolle Dynamik hatten. Und ich muss einmal diese "kleine" selbst erbaute Familie von Victor, Sidney, Mitch und diesem süßen Hund erwähnen. Diese Art von Bindung, die sie zueinander pflegten, gab der Geschichte so viel dazu. Ich hoffe, wir müssen nicht allzu lange warten bis der dritte Band erscheint, aber da ich Victoria auf Instagram verfolge, weiß ich, dass auf jeden Fall eines in Planung ist und ich freue mich schon darauf wieder in die Welt der Villains einzutauchen! Fazit: Victoria Schwab erschafft immer wieder Geschichten, die mir unter die Haut gehen. Vengeful ist eine wundervolle Fortsetzung von einer Mischung aus "grauen" Charakteren, die zwar nicht die besten Entscheidungen treffen, aber für sie die richtigen. Ich freue mich schon , wenn es weiter geht! 4 von 5 Sternen!
