Rezension von Marcel RueschAls sich Sam und Sadie im Jahr 1987 in einem Krankenhaus kennenlernten, bemerkten sie sofort eine gemeinsame Leidenschaft: Videospiele. 8 Jahre später treffen sich die beiden wieder und lassen ihre alte Leidenschaft wieder aufleben. Gemeinsam mit Marx, Sams Mitbewohner, starten die drei ein Projekt und programmieren gemeinsam ein Spiel welches ihr Leben für immer verändern sollte. Tomorrow, Tomorrow and Tomorrow (dt.: Morgen, Morgen und wieder Morgen) ist eine Geschichte über Leidenschaft, Freundschaft und Liebe. Wie kann eine gemeinsame Leidenschaft einen zusammenbringen und wie kann sie einen auch wieder voneinander abstoßen? Ebenfalls ist es eine Exploration von Freundschaften zwischen Männern und Frauen, von Verlust und letztlich auch über das Erwachsen werden und wie sich Beziehungen im Laufe des Lebens verändern. Dieser sich über zwei Dekaden abspielende Roman ist eine unglaublich interessante Charakterexploration, welche ich insbesondere in der ersten Hälfte sehr genossen habe. Die Geschichte war nachvollziehbar und man konnte sich in Sam und Sadie hineinversetzen. In der zweiten Hälfte nimmt die Geschichte jedoch Dimensionen an, bei denen es für mich schwieriger wurde noch mit den Charakteren mitzufühlen. Für mich ein Roman, den ich jedem empfehlen würde aber trotzdem nicht den Abschluss hatte den ich mir für diesen großartigen Einstieg gewünscht hatte.

Rezension von Anna ViktoriaThe book is well written and easy to read. The characters are nicely described and likable. I am no gamer myself and have never been interested in games, but that was not a problem at all while reading the novel. The first two thirds of the books were (in my opinion) lacking highs and lows and I was expecting some kind of climax. I'd recommend the book especially to gaming enthusiasts and people who like coming of age stories.
