Rezension von SarahSeitdem die Sonnengöttin gestorben war liegt die Welt im undurchdringbaren Nebel. Nun, im Jahr 50 des Fluchs, soll dies endlich von Jude beendet werden. Als neue Krieger geholt werden, wird allerdings gerade Kiara gewählt um anstelle ihres Bruders in die Kampfausbildung zu gehen und das umzusetzen, was ihr Onkel ihr immer schon beigebracht hatte. - doch warum hat er einer Frau dies beigebracht? Warum gerade Kiara? Als jedoch Kiara und Jude aufeinander treffen, müssen beide gegen ihre beginnenden Gefühle für den jeweils anderen ankämpfen und für das, für das sie stehen. Und vor allem Gefühle, die Jude bereits totgeglaubt hatte, kommen wieder zum Vorschein. Gefühle aller Art… - - - - - Zu Beginn habe ich mich gefragt, was aus dem Ganzen noch werden soll, doch… Was sich zu Beginn etwas in die Länge zieht endet in einem wahrhaften Showdown. Zum Ende hin nimmt die Handlung endlich Fahrt auf und löst alle Fragen, die man sich bisher gestellt hat. Kiara ist einfach eine tolle Protagonistin, die für die Leute kämpft, die ihr wichtig sind. Im Lager findet sie einige neue Freunde - neue Familie. Jude ist einfach ein Traummann, der allerdings vor allem gegen seine dunklen Gedanken ankämpft. Dies lässt ihn vor allem unnahbar und kalt wirken, allerdings dient dies alles nur seinem eigenen Schutz und dem Schutz seiner und Kiaras Gefühle und ihrem Leben. Die Schreibweise von Katherine Quinn hat mir sehr gefallen und hat geholfen an der Handlung dran zu bleiben.
