Rezension von AliciaDer Roman macht so viel Spaß. Die drei völlig unterschiedlichen Leben der Protagonist/innen, die trotzdem in so vielen kleinen Details miteinander verknüpft sind. In allen drei Geschichten gibt es schöne, bewegende und Momente, die einen zum Schmunzeln bringen. Dicke Leseempfehlung für dieses und alle anderen Bücher von Elif Shafak.
Rezension von Lara EikmeyerRichtig toller Schreibstil. Besonders gefallen hat mir, dass das Buch an viele echte historische Gegebenheiten angelehnt ist. Ich finde Geschichte unglaublich interessant und habe beim Lesen sogar einiges dazugelernt. Alle drei POVs waren interessant und sehr unterschiedlich. Das hat die Geschichte sehr vielschichtig gemacht. Ich habe ein Interview der Autorin gelesen und fand diese Stelle besonders schön: „Außerdem bin ich Feministin, für mich ist auch das Persönliche politisch. Ich mag aber jene Literatur nicht, die belehren möchte oder predigt. Ein Schriftsteller hat Fragen zu stellen, auch schwierige Fragen. Und der Leser hat eigene Antworten zu finden. Literatur bedeutet für mich: Freiheit, Vielfältigkeit, Nuancen.“ Genau solche Literatur gefällt mir.
