Rezension von RikeDieses Buch hat mich von der ersten Seite an in seinen Bann gezogen. Die FMC ist smart, cunning und powerful, alles was ich lesen will. Habe mir direkt den 2. Band bestellt, auch wenn es keine direkte Fortsetzung ist.
Rezension von IrisWar okay, würde ich aber nicht nochmal lesen. Als YA Buch echt in Ordnung und mit viel Selbstwert-Botschaft, aber ich fand in die 400 Seiten einfach etwas zu viel Nebenhandlung untergebracht, was daher an der Tiefe fehlte.
Rezension von booq_cafeI’ve enjoyed this book so much, that I read it in one sitting. The female protagonist gave me Blair Walldorf vibes and she was always my favorite of the series. Alessandra is strong, knows what she wants and takes it. She is power! I loved reading about a woman who knows she is sexy and worth it and isn’t oblivious to her charms. Her goal to seduce the shadow king promises sparking romance and that’s what you’ll get. The story unfolds around the shadow king and Alessandra. I would have preferred a bit more spark between them - some snarky comments here and there. I was looking forward to an enemies to lovers trope and while I got that in theory the protagonists were way to nice to each other. The main reason I loved this book were it‘s characters. In every situation they reacted different than I was expecting, which was very refreshing. Also the friends (and foes) of Alessandra and the shadow King had a strong character development, that enjoyed immensely.. But ... the story could have been stronger. The setting was weak from the beginning and lacked fantasy elements - except for the shadows around the shadow king. There wasn’t much of a plot, only towards the end did the story get a little interesting. Nevertheless, I would recommend this book because of its original characters and fantastic love story.
Rezension von ItsmeniciHabe es INHALIERT! Das Buch hatte so viele Elemente die ich bei Fantasy liebe und hat wieder mal gezeigt, dass man Spice in Büchern nicht braucht, damit es gut ist. Ein paar offene Fragen sind geblieben und das Ende war für meinen Geschmack etwas zu schnell abgearbeitet, aber ich habe das Buch wirklich sehr gemocht!
