Rezension von Raphaela Smiths Hollow ist ein verschlafenes Nest. Es gibt dort nichts besonderes, außer den alten unheimlichen Baum an dem Lauren und ihre beste Freundin sich jeden Tag treffen. Auch passiert nie etwas aufregendes, außer dem grausamen Mord an Laurens Vater vor einem Jahr und der Ermordung von zwei fremden Mädchen. Doch irgendwie scheinen die Einwohner diese grauenvollen Vorkommnisse bereits am nächsten Tag wieder vergessen zu haben. Irgendetwas stimmt ganz und gar nicht in Smiths Hollow, aber dessen wird sich Lauren nur sehr langsam bewusst. Nach dem enttäuschenden letzten Einhorn und der absoluten Katastrophe Fault, war auf Christina Henry einfach mal wieder Verlass. Eine spannende Coming of Age Geschichte, mit sich nahtlos einfügenden Horror- und Fantasyelementen. Ja, das große Geheimnis, wer "Er" ist, ist kein wirkliches, darauf kommt man eigentlich schon in der ersten Szene... aber vielleicht sollte es auch kein großer Twist sein. Keine Ahnung, aber es nimmt der Geschichte nichts. Und Henry gelingt ein absolutes Kunststück, sie hat einen kleinen Bruder geschaffen, der absolut nicht nervt.
