Rezension von Raphaela Die Haupthandlung finde ich klasse. Die Protagonistin ist toll getroffen, man kann es nachempfinden, was sie durchmacht hat. Sie ist glaubwürdig und sympathisch und man kann sehr gut verstehen, wie eng und gut die Beziehung zwischen den Schwestern war. Die Story ist weniger gruselig, als bedrückend. Es ist weniger Horror, als die Geschichte einer Familie, die dabei ist, an der Situation zu zerbrechen. Ja, die Geschichte ist nicht neu, das ändert aber nichts daran, dass dieser Teil einfach mitreißend geschrieben ist. Anders verhält es sich mit der Rahmenhandlung. Sowohl die Szenen mit der erwachsenen Merry, wie auch die Blogeinträge fand ich furchtbar dröge und ehrlich gesagt komplett überflüssig. Ich hatte hier beim Lesen immer das Gefühl, der Autor wollte schlicht Seiten schinden, immerhin reden wir hier von knapp 100 Seiten Füllmaterial bei einem 380 Seitenbuch. Nichts desto trotz, gibt es von mir eine Empfehlung, denn die Haupthandlung ist es einfach wert. Den Rest kann man ja überblättern oder überfliegen.
