Wow. This is a phenomenal book that evoked so many emotions for me. For a debut, Sarah Damoff executed this one brilliantly! Beginning in 1958, we follow the lives of Lillian and Ryan. Later, they welcome a daughter, Georgette. We follow the main characters and their families and friends over the years, into 2019. This book is so life-like, tackling the heavy topic of alcoholism and the effects it has on everyone involved. It's raw, emotional, and perfectly paced. From love, loss, hurt, broken trust, and everything in between, this has it. I felt all the feels. I laughed, I cried. I felt like I was there. I will say this one was tough at times. On a very personal note, if you have ever experienced life with an alcoholic in any capacity, this one may hit differently. I absolutely still recommend it. Such a great read!
