Rezension von EmyEine super super gute Romantasy 😻 Spannend von vorne bis hinten, Intrigen, Verrat, Schuld, Schmerz Zwei Menschen die die Hölle erlebt haben und die Hölle für andere Wirklichkeit werden lassen. Und endlich jemanden finden, der ihnen Ruhe schenkt. Echtes Enemies to lovers Slow burn Female Rage Eine Achterbahn der Gefühle „I let the world burn for you“ vom aller feinsten Und das alles in einer unglaublich großen und vielseitigen Welt die viel Spielraum für Träumer lässt. Sehr intensiver Spice, der nicht zu viel Raum in der Geschichte einnimmt (gibt glaube drei Scenen) Und obwohl die Handlungen sehr dark sind, ist die Liebe wunderschön und liebevoll (dark Fantasy aber nicht dark romance) Eine angenehme Prise Humor, Wahnsinn und Leichtsinn Man will das Buch gegen die Wand werfen und kann es gleichzeitig nicht aus den Händen legen. Angenehmer, flüssiger Schreibstil und nahtlose Übergänge Sehr zu empfehlen

Nicole ist Dark Romantasy im besten Sinne: High Fantasy mit einem Hauch Sci-Fi, düsterem Ton und einer Protagonistin, die man weder Heldin noch Schurkin nennen kann, und genau das macht sie interessant. Die Welt ist detailreich ausgearbeitet, die Figuren dreidimensional und greifbar, die Dialoge witzig und scharf. Die Sprache ist bildlich und blumig - manchmal fast filmisch - und das Pacing überzeugt: schnelle Handlungssequenzen wechseln sich mit kurzen, notwendigen Atempausen ab. Wenig Spice, aber eine derbe, unverblümte Sprache, die perfekt zur Protagonistin passt. Denn Dianna ist eine Heldin, die keine Erlaubnis braucht. Stark, komplex, und bereit, die Welt in Trümmer zu legen, wenn ihre Liebsten bedroht werden. Kleine Abzüge gibt es für die deutsche Übersetzung: Doppelte Sätze, Flüchtigkeitsfehler und inkonsistente Figurenbeschreibungen stören den Lesefluss. Dazu fehlt es den Rückblenden und Traumsequenzen an einheitlicher Formatierung - mal kursiv, mal nicht - was die Orientierung gelegentlich stört. Für alle, die epische High Fantasy mit einem Hauch Sci-Fi lieben, eine Protagonistin wollen, die keine Gefangene ihrer eigenen Geschichte ist, und dem Enemies-to-Lovers-Trope eine neue Bedeutung geben möchten.
Rezension von Joana🫧 Okay yeah, #TheBookofAzrael completely consumed me - I genuinely couldn’t put it down🥹 The worldbuilding is absolutely brilliant✨ It’s rich, layered, and immersive without ever feeling overwhelming. From the very beginning, the story feels huge and complex, and I loved slowly discovering more about the world and its history as the plot unfolded🤯 Speaking of the plot - it’s incredibly gripping👏🏼 The mystery and suspense kept me constantly curious about what would happen next. Every time I thought I understood where the story was going, something new pulled me even deeper into it🤩 And the enemies-to-lovers slow burn? Absolutely perfect👀 The tension, the hostility, the gradual shift in their dynamic… it was so satisfying to watch it evolve🫶🏼 Character-wise, I also loved how my feelings kept changing throughout the book. I kind of liked Kaden in the beginning… but by the end I was completely fascinated by the villain👀 There’s just something about morally grey characters that makes a story even more addictive🤭 Dianna is such a powerful main character. She’s strong, determined, and complex, and I loved following her journey🥰 At the same time, the bond between her and her sister added such a sweet emotional layer to the story - their relationship felt genuine and grounding in the middle of all the chaos. And that ending?! Absolutely mind-blowing. The final twist left me staring at the page like what just happened. The cliffhanger is brutal and now I desperately need to start book two because I am not okay after that ending. Also… that plot twist with Dianna’s best friend?? I did not see that coming at all. Moments like that made the story even more exciting and unpredictable. ✨ Final thoughts: This book has everything I love in fantasy: incredible worldbuilding, complex characters, addictive tension, shocking twists, and a romance that burns slowly but intensely. Honestly… I loved everything about this book. Now excuse me while I emotionally recover and immediately pick up book two. 📚🔥 . . . . . Rating : 5⭐️ Spice : 1,5🌶️ Recommendation : ✅
