Since I'd finished TMI i couldn't wait to start reading this book. Magnus Bane is character who is way too less in the books and even tho there are six books you practically doesn't know anything about him. He' stays some kind of mistery until the end. That's why I was so exited to finally read this book. - Magnus Bane is a warlock he appears first in TMI when Clary needs him to find her mother. He took her memories as a little girl cause her mother didn't wanted her to be a part of the Shadowhunter-World. He's the son of a demon like all warlocks , that's why he's immortal. He is someone who doesn't likes people to know much about him since his father is one of the greater demons and he doesn't want to be compared to him. Even when he starts a relationship with the Shadowhunter Alexander Lightwood these opinions doesn't change and even his boyfriends doesn't know more about him than Magnus thinks is necessary. - First of all I think it was important to dedicate a whole book to Magnus. Even though he is a quit important person in TMI there aren't too much scenes with him and there wasn't much Malec either. After this book you're able to understand more why Magnus is how he is . How it feels to be immortal and to always see your loved ones die or leave. I love the system of those 11 short stories and always this little quote at the beginning of every chapter. The mini comics which show the scene of the quote are always so cute and shomehow sum the whole chapter pretty good up. - The authors wrote really good so the texts were exactly how I expected Magnus to think and talk even hundreds of years ago. I would definitely recommend this book anyone who read TMI and wants to know more about Magnus Bane. On the 500 pages of the you'll discover sides of Magnus you never thought he had. You'll probably even understand his relationship with Camille.

It is like placing a blade in someone's hand and setting the very point to your heart.”</i></b></blockquote>I love how Cassandra expands her Shadowhunters universe more and more through this collection of short stories, at the same time developing the most interesting characters in her series AND tying up all her series together with little details and characters in some of those stories as well as setting up her next series, introducing characters and events that will be important some way or another. Magnus is such a wonderful character - he's charming, funny and witty, but at the same time wise and brave and so so human, even though he is not exactly human. I love love love him. I had so much fun going into this book and I can't decide which story was my favorite. I can't wait for The Dark Artifices and more Shadowhunter goodness. An easy 5 stars.
