⭐ 3.75 – Surprisingly Good with a Strong Finish I went into Silver in the Bone with zero expectations. I’m not usually into young adult books or Avalon-inspired stories, so I wasn’t sure if this one would be for me. But to my surprise, it turned out to be a dark and gripping read that pulled me in, especially toward the end. Tamsin is the kind of character who would normally annoy me to no end, but somehow she managed to juuusssttt toe the line and become likable instead. Her determination and flaws made her feel grounded, even when I was tempted to roll my eyes at her choices. The story itself has great world-building and just enough twists to keep things moving, but the last 15%? That’s where this book broke my heart three times. It was so good it bumped my rating up from a 3.00 to a solid 3.75 stars. And Emrys… let’s just say that poor excuse of a man better make up for his heartbreaking bs in the next book. I love him, but wow, I wasn’t ready for that. If you’re looking for something with dark vibes, morally gray characters, and a fantastic ending that makes you buy the 2nd one in the series this book is worth your time!
