I love me some Stephen King. He is the horror master. However, I like him best when he is less creepy. This book is an anthology of four novellas: Apt Pupil, The Body, The Breathing Method, and—of course—Rita Hayworth and Shawshank Redemption (this one was adapted into my favorite film of all-time). King's prose is so workmanlike, very relatable and understandable. I think that's part of his appeal and long-lasting success as one of America's most famous and successful authors. King, just like the O'Doyle family, rules, yo! That is all.
