Am Anfang, während der ersten 100 Seiten, hatte ich echt Probleme reinzukommen, aber danach war es super spannend und die Plottwists sowie das Ende sind echt gut!

This feels like a new beginning of a fantasy series , if this would have been the spin off I would believe it . Love to see more and more of the background unfolding and also I love to see J finally filling the big shoes she has to. I am a huge fan of her arc as a character and I am excited and intrigued of what’s coming

AlinaRezension von Alina

After the end of the previous book, I expected the story to become much more exciting. Unfortunately, Restore Me ended up being the weakest installment in the series for me. A large part of the book revolves around drama that felt unnecessary, particularly Juliette's struggles as a leader and the fact that she is constantly underestimated by those around her. Many of the characters also seemed less mature than in previous books. What annoyed me most was the lack of communication between Juliette and Aaron. Much of their conflict stems from the fact that neither of them is willing to open up. Juliette's reactions, in particular, often felt exaggerated, and many problems could have been solved through a simple conversation. I also found the plot progression rather slow. While the writing style makes the book very easy and quick to read, it lacked emotional depth for me. For much of the first half, it felt like very little was happening, and I often found myself bored. Nevertheless, there were still some surprising revelations that genuinely shocked me, and the cliffhanger at the end was very effective. I also loved Kenji and Aaron, and I especially enjoyed seeing their friendship continue to develop. Overall, despite having a few strong moments, Restore Me was ultimately a rather disappointing sequel for me.
