Rezension von simply_yAlthough I liked Mak & Adena, I couldn't quite connect with the pair. Their story fell off page most of the time, us readers getting barely a glimpse of any of it. That "earth shattering" moment of her death? It just didn't click for me. Yes, Adena's lovely & a ray of sunshine. But she's also highly dependant on others to stay alive, and that's what made the story dull for me.

Rezension von JoanneThough intended to be read alongside the first book or as a follow-up, I read it not at the perfect time within the “Powerless” universe, which made it a bit challenging to fully reconnect with the characters and storyline. While the writing was strong I found it hard to engage with the characters and their love story. Overall it was a nice addition for fans of the series, providing more insight into the journeys of the characters. It wasn’t my favorite read, but it added value to the overall experience of the trilogy.
