Rating: 3 stars ⭐⭐⭐ Morning Glory Milking Farm by C.M. Nacosta. Is this book weird? Yes, probably. Was it still sweet and I enjoyed it? Not just your perfect, tiny hands." - Rourke</em> </blockquote> <img src="https://media1.tenor.com/m/Z0UXqmLCHu0AAAAd/milkshake-cow.gif" width="400" height="400" alt="description"/> First, it’s important to note that I’m rating this book with the understanding that it falls somewhere between smut and erotica with a love story. There are explicit depictions of sexual acts throughout the book. If that’s not your cup of tea, this is definitely not the book for you. Violet starts a job as a milking technician - her job is ...well ..collecting semen from Minotaurs. It's not as weird as it sounds tbh. It is all very clinical and she doesn't feel anything except for Rourke—one of her first clients. Their love story was surprisingly sweet and not as sex-focused as one might think - except for his visits to the farm ofc. He really took time to get to know her and supported her in her growth and finding a job. I also appreciated how the book explored some deeper themes, like the prejudice between humans and monsters. This was a welcome touch that added depth to the story. <blockquote><em>Anyway, it’s also hard because he’s very conservative and from such an insular community. I’m not. My parents never took us to the sun temple when I was young; we didn’t really practice Elvish customs at home, but I’m still an elf. There are still things I grew up with that are familiar, food, and expectations that don’t always line up with the way he thinks things ought to be, and that’s what I mean about the little things. </em></blockquote> There were a few scenes toward the end that I could’ve done without, but overall, I liked their banter, and I enjoyed the inclusion of friends in the story. The writing style was also easy to follow. (! Very graphic ) This I could have lived without: <spoiler> His cock slipped from her like a particularly corpulent eel, swinging loose with a gush that sent a ripple up her back, splashing to the shower floor like an overturned bucket. </spoiler> Despite that, I still found the book enjoyable and its quirks made for an interesting read. Would I recommend it? If you’re into the genre and open to something on the more explicit side, definitely.
