I’ve just finished reading “Little Women” by Louisa May Alcott, and I’m absolutely enchanted—this story of the four March sisters, Meg, Jo, Beth, and Amy, is a coming-of-age gem that feels as fresh today as in 1868. Each sister shines with unique traits: bold writer Jo, gentle Beth, elegant Meg, and artistic Amy, their journeys blending humor, heartache, and growth in a Civil War-era backdrop. Family bonds, sisterhood, and moral growth dominate, teaching resilience amid poverty and societal pressures without preaching—Alcott’s touch is subtle yet profound. Lessons in selflessness, hard work, and authentic love resonate deeply, making it a heartfelt tribute to 19th-century womanhood. Unforgettable, uplifting, and essential! Definitively 5.0 stars! A must-read for anyone craving real emotion and inspiration

Ein tolles und zeitloses Buch! Sollte meiner Meinung nach jede Frau/Mädchen und alle werdenden Eltern gelesen haben.

I reread the book so I already knew I would like it, but I even liked it more than the last time I read it.

3,5 Stars. I absolutely loved the beginning, the development of Meg, Jo, Amy and Beth and also Louisa May Alcott‘s writing style. But in my opinion it was just too long (some parts weren’t really necessary).I think if it had been 200 pages shorter, I would have enjoyed it much more.
