Rezension von LauriWhen I tell you that this book had me hooked, I mean that literally. I came across Hugh Howey's books because it was broadcast as a series on Apple TV Plus and I just couldn't wait to find out what happened next. The first Book "Silo" (Season 1-2) didn't really catch my attention, but that could also be because i had already seen it and i new what would happen next. Also the series was really accurat so there wasn't anything new to discover. All I can say about "Level" is: WOW The structure of the plot, through the flashbacks we got, to the point on how the silos were created. The characters and their personal and sometimes very touching stories and the newly acquired information about everything you already tought you knew. My mouth was open more than once! And I have to say the things that happen there, that happend to the world and things that resulted from the war aren't as unrealistic as you might hope. Nevertheless, the ending leaves many questions unanswered and I'll probably pick up the 3rd book straight away and start reading! Also, the story of Donald touched me particularly. His life has turned 180 degrees and I could completely empathize with his emotions and decisions. I wouldn't have acted any differently in his place. but I still have unanswered questions. What happened to Helena? How many silos are in contact with each other? Will Juliette learn to understand that Donald isn't the bad guy after all and of course: will they manage to start a new life on the surface again and learn from their past mistakes?
Rezension von Mir hat das Buch wirklich sehr gut gefallen. Es war eine sehr interessante Fortsetzung zum ersten Band. Jedoch hab ich mir mehr erhofft. An sich wurde die Geschichte des Silos näher erläutert, aber das war für mich nicht ausreichend bzw. Hatte ich mehr erwartet. Manchmal war es für mich auch zu durcheinander.
