I am a big fan of Sarah J. Maas and with the two new books coming up, I HAD to read Crescent City. At first I didn’t like it because it’s not quite the Style I know from Maas but then it hit me like a bomb and I fell in love! A must read for me and I think one of my best reads 2026.

😮‍💨👏🏻 Es ist so viel passiert in diesem Buch, ich weiß ja gar nicht was ich sagen soll. Also ich kann allen nur zustimmen die von einem holprigen Start berichtet haben, den hatte ich nämlich auch - Welttechnisch kommt da ganz schön was auf einen zu. Ich sag mal so: fake it till you make it was vor allem auch das politische Verständnis angeht 🤭… Ich hab Crescent City bewusst als letztes gelesen, ich war mir einfach unsicher ob es mir genauso gefallen würde wie ToG & Acotar, so modern und futuristisch. Natürlich ist es ein ganz anderer vibe, manche Aspekte fand ich persönlich auch etwas „off“ & zu drüber (umgekehrte cap ? it‘s giving Colleen Hoover on a good day, das fotos schießen zwischendurch ? solche Sachen halt…) aber es war mal eine tolle Abwechslung. Und die Story ist einfach gold wert mit all ihren Plots! Bryce & Hunt haben mein Herz.

Dieses Buch hat mich so gefesselt. Habe es tatsächlich in 3 Tagen ausgelesen und direkt mit dem 2. Teil gestartet 💕

Aller Anfang is zach - die ersten 100 Seiten waren schwierig, zu viel (noch) unzusammenhängende Information, zu viele Personen, doch dann war ich komplett drinnen und kann am Ende nun sagen i see what you did SJM, der verwirrende Anfang macht am Ende erzählerisch total Sinn! Top Mischung aus Fanatasy, Krimi, Großstadtliebe und natürlich Romance ✨

Omg what was that?!?!? Okay so I read Acotar and TOR twice already and I love both series. Then years ago I tried to read cresent city and gave up. You have to fight to get through the first few chapters but then… An amazing story, heartbreaking moments where I cried so much, crazy plots! Sarah did an amazing job with that books - so excited to see what will happen in the next book😍
