Rezension von AllieHeartless hat geliefert!! Der Schreibstil ist einfach unglaublich lebendig. Man ist sofort wieder zurück in dieser rauen, staubigen Cowboy-Welt und fühlt sich, als würde man alles hautnah miterleben. Ich habe so oft vor mich hingekichert und gleichzeitig gab es Momente, die richtig unter die Haut gingen. Und die Charaktere… ich liebe sie! Wir haben Age Gap, Grumpy vs. Sunshine – zwei Tropes, die ich sowieso schon feiere – aber das hier wurde einfach perfekt umgesetzt. Sie ist eine absolute Powerfrau. Sassy, selbstbewusst, laut, ehrlich – und gleichzeitig so weich und verletzlich, wenn es darauf ankommt. Diese Mischung macht sie einfach unglaublich greifbar. Und er… dieser ruhige, verantwortungsvolle, leicht verschlossene Typ, der langsam auftaut. Man merkt so schnell, wie viel Gefühl da eigentlich ist, wie viel er zurückhält – und wie er nach und nach wieder lernt, sich zu öffnen. Was diese Geschichte für mich so besonders gemacht hat, ist die Balance: Humor, Leichtigkeit, aber auch Tiefe. Themen wie Verantwortung, Ängste und Familie werden nicht nur angerissen, sondern wirklich gefühlt. Ich habe gelacht, ich hatte Herzklopfen, ich hatte Tränen in den Augen – und genau das macht für mich ein 5-Sterne-Buch aus.

Rezension von SamiAt first, I really enjoyed Heartless and was drawn into the way the story was unfolding. The writing style is strong and engaging, which made it easy to stay invested early on. However, once the pregnancy was introduced, I found myself starting to question the direction of the book. It felt quite random and didn’t seem to fit naturally with what had been built up before. As the story continued, it began to feel like it lacked a clear structure or meaningful progression. While there are interesting moments, the overall plot doesn’t seem very well developed to not beeing there at all and at times it feels like things just happen without a strong sense of purpose or connection. That said, I wouldn’t say the book is bad. The author’s writing is definitely a strong point and is probably the main reason I kept reading. But when you really think about the story itself, it doesn’t leave a lasting impression. Overall, it’s somewhere in the middle—not great, but not terrible either.
