Rezension von LauraSo I actually hated the MMC in the beginning because of his shenanigans in the previous books and was fully prepared to dislike this whole book. There were also a few parallels to Jeremy and Cecily's relationship such as the haunted house and forcing the FMC to meet him. However, I was stunned by how far he was willing to go for her (he literally took empathy lessons by his brother as a person on the antisocial spectrum and learned sign language since she's a selective mute) and that she was able to turn him into her lap dog. Halfway through he not only was bearable but I surprisingly started to like him. That I find him funny was surely also a factor for that. I really liked her too as she was really badass and didn't put up with his shit. Also her style was everything. The whole solution behind her kidnapping which resulted in her being mute was kinda random to say at best. Nevertheless, even if the book wasn't perfect, I enjoyed it way more than I thought

Rezension von Liyah📚4.5⭐️ … I feel so bad because I honestly had to force myself to read this because I was simply not that interested in their story. But Landon and Mia??? I fear they’ve just outdone them all. Landon pissed me off so much because of how he treated Cecily and genuinely used everyone like pawns on a chess board in the worst way, but he flipped the whole thing around thank god. I love them together. Her being his muse >>> Him being the one she can finally open up to properly>>> yesyesyes. They just complimented esch other so well and idk it just works perfectly. I saw a review where someone said this book is just like mixing god of wrath and god of malice but I honestly don’t see it. Landons character is so different from Killians and the relationship dynamics can also not be compared. Landon is so different when he’s with Mia but in a way where it still fits his character so well. Honestly I did not expect anything going into this one and I’m extremely positively surprised. Communication skills >>>> I love. From both of them. Obviously they had their issues but I love that they (mostly Landon tho I must admit) worked on staying together and work everything out instead of breaking up and ignoring each other. Loved seeing Kyle and Rai again
