Okay, so this was definitely better than book one. Progress!! But still… kinda cringe at times😭 Like, the actual story around all the smut? Lowkey pretty good. I actually liked the whole setup with the rival groups and all the chaotic dynamics within their friend groups, the banter, the loyalty, the drama, it kept me interested for sure. But then out of nowhere it just gets so uncomfortable again😭 Those spicy scenes are absolutely not for me. No shame if you liked them, but yeah… I simply am not that girl. Honestly, I’m just powering through this series so I can finally get to God of Fury. Also, Rina babe, hear me out… could we please get a book about two women next?? Pretty please, I’d lose my mind (in the best way).

4.25⭐️ oh I really liked this. Aiden and Adrian in the same room???? Never even considered this to happen at some point but it’s everything I would’ve imagined fr. Loved it. Annika is such a sweetheart actually and she deserved sm better. The way all the girls treated her once everything went down was so shitty. Knew I could trust in our boy Remi. (Mild spoilers!!!) And yes I get that what she did wasn’t great (trying to write this as cryptically as possible) but literally what other options did she have ??? Generally everything after that whole shit show, I felt so bad for Annika and Creighton I genuinely cried. Annikas reaction afterwards was so intense and reminded me so much of Lia. Also the last bit, when they sort of resolved everything, was also very heavy. I wasn’t the biggest fan of that whole bit icl but to see Annika crumble lowkey just like her mom did in her own trilogy was so hard to witness icl. Very interested in Brandon as well, I love his character as well as Cecily. Wish we could’ve seen more from Glyndon and Killian, they were described as much more outgoing in their own book but I do see their relationship transforming to this state we got to see in this book. Landon pisses me off as well as Ava I’m lowkey a hater but I fear I might not know enough? Idk. We’ll see. Again also a fan of the parents being portrayed as imperfect and even tho wanting the best for their children sometimes making the wrong decisions. And even tho we got to know them in their own stories does not mean that they play such an important part in the lives of their own children. I love this actually. All the parental love in the world can sometimes still not rescue a kid from dark thoughts or trauma. They aren’t bad parents because their children are unwell. Some things are simply out of their control. And I think they managed as best as they knew how. I also love how the approaches were so in character. Elsas reaction afterwards was completely different from Lias for example. I loved that. Also the fact that we witnessed Adrians extreme protectiveness when it comes to his wife and son, to the point that he barely even let them leave the house, over the last 25ish books or so and people are genuinely surprised that this guy didn’t want his daughter to leave for the UK as if he wouldn’t be just as protective of her?? Or Aidens kids knowing that their father loves their mother more than them. I don’t say that’s a good thing I’m merely saying this is so very much in character for him that it all adds up. Anyway this one was way heavier than expected but I still really liked it and once more we went full circle on the story telling (I love).
