Alright. Let’s get this started with. First of all: This book screams anti feminism, unhealthy relationships, emotional dependency on the highest level. Let me summarize edwards and Bellas relationship real quick: “I CANNOT live without him, so I have to choose him, even if it is probably very unhealthy. Also, I will marry him even if I really do not want to marry so early (which is very mature but idgaf because I want to fck him
⭐️3.8 Okay. So this book is interesting. I thought it would be a fast read, like New Moon was for me, but I knew from the beginning that it would be very different. Out of the first three books, this one is definitely the worst. Bella still was stringing along Jacob again and she was annoyed when Jacob didn’t want to see her even though there is a literal oath between the vampires and wolves that they can’t really interact. Bella knew that in choosing Edward she shouldn’t be able to see Jacob anymore but she still persisted. I also hate Jacob now for forcing Bella to kiss him and the fact that he basically assaulted her because she was too weak to push him off. Jacob also knew that Bella had no attraction to him and still tried. The end fight was also a lot of describing, and so much so that I eventually skipped some of it because it was boring me. I’ve watched the films anyway so I know what happens. I will read the final book as I want to finish the series but I don’t have high hopes for it and I’m betting Bella will be just as insufferable as she has been in the first three books. Edit: I also hated Edward when he kidnapped her because he didn’t trust her to not go to Jacob. Where is Bella’s free will, Edward? The only good character was Alice, of course.
