Reviewed by Rebecca Einer meiner Freida-Favs. Spannend von der ersten bis zur letzten Seite, obwohl immer wieder der gleiche Zeitraum aus anderen Perspektiven beschrieben wird (ist ja oft langweilig sowas, hier aber nicht). Anders als in vielen ihrer anderen Bücher, gibt es keinen speziellen Breakingpoint, bis zu dem man absichtlich fehl geführt wird. Die Story ist clever konstruiert und erschließt sich nach und nach durch die verschiedenen Erzähler.

Freida endlich hab ich wieder mal was Feines von dir gelesen. 🩶 „Dead Med“ ist eine überarbeitete Version ihres Thrillers „Suicide Med“. Das Buch gibbet nämlich nur noch für ganz viel Geld. ABER wir bekommen hier wieder Freida-Like kurze Kapitel und einen spannenden Schreibstil. Das Buch ist aufgebaut in 7 Parts: 6 aus der Sicht der Studenten - Heather, Abe, Mason, Rachel und Sasha (Abe kriegt zwei Parts) und eine aus der Sicht des Professors Dr. Conlon. Ich war bei jedem Part absolut gespannt, wie es für die Person weitergeht und die Story dahinter? 10/10. Einen halben Punkt Abzug gibt es dann doch, weil ich kleine Parts an „Langatmigkeit“ hatte und es ein bisschen schwer zu lesen war aufgrund der vielen medizinischen Fachbegriffe, die manchmal im Kontext dann doch nicht so ganz klar wurden. Sollte das Buch also übersetzt werden, wäre es definitiv eine 5/5. Aber ansonsten? EINE HEFTIGE EMPFEHLUNG MEINERSEITS. 🩺💉🩸
