The first part was a bit boring and it took me forever to read but after that the book was great.
pure perfection
After a smashing first book of the Hunger Games trilogy, the sequel "Catching Fire" started off extremely weak and boring. I almost fell asleep during Part 1, however Part 2 somehow rose out of the ashes like a phoenix (pun intended). The series got back to its strength and delivered a really good and suspenseful story until the end of the last page. Although the story is pretty strong in general, "Catching Fire" (as well as the first book of the series) lacked in narrative. I felt that some great ideas didn't get enough words or pages and weren't fully integrated like they could've been if the author took more time. In the end, the book felt rushed but strangely satisfying at the same time.
I am so sorry for the people, who had to wait for Mockingjay.
So sad I didn’t experience this story as a teenager
