This book was not what I was expected. We had to read it for high school, which I did, and now I am heartbroken, but also Heart-warmed. Toni Morrison really has the ability to make her readers feel. She really tried to change many life with her literature and she can count mine too. This book was heart wrenching, and painful sometimes, especially for a 17 year old like me, but that made the book even better. The book made me feel emotions and made me actually think about those important subject. I can really only recommend this to anyone. The only reason it’s not a five star, is because normally I wouldn’t read such a book, don’t get me wrong the book is a 5+ but for my preferred taste, it’s only a 4/5 stars. I still love this book with my whole life, and I am actually exited to talk about it in school. Thank you Toni, for this masterpiece, and rest in peace now.
