Reviewed by Hüzün 🐈⬛Hab lange nicht mehr so ein witziges, unterhaltsames Fantasie Roman gelesen. Allein die Figuren Herkules Zeus, Aphrodite etc. so unterhaltsame Dialoge die Gedanken so witzig geschrieben und trotzdem sehr spannend. Kann ich nur empfehlen.

It’s the way we get everything exclusively in Alexis’ POV at first and only very small glances through the other characters, that did it for me. And the way she thinks and her unseriousness- I love. I just generally love her as the FMC. She’s my kinda weird fr. And her character is actually deep, you can tell that she has many different things she struggles with. Now to the Story. 10/10. I got to be honest, it got kinda boring for me around the middle of the book, I’d have liked to see more of her interacting with Achilles and Patro (which she still did but imo just not enough) or other Spartans. But at the same time it was kind of necessary because we followed her through the tests she had to absolve so it made sense. The Story also had kind of a Percy Jackson vibe to it. Not in the sense of copy pasting, or the storyline being similar, but just the general vibe of the story sometimes reminded me of the Percy Jackson movies, I do have to add though, it’s definitely darker than Percy Jackson. Now, THE PLOT TWISTS!?!? Hello?! I actually got extremely bored around the time the first one hit me. That was insane and I did not expect the story to take that turn icl. I generally love the approach in this story. The first two chapters had me in a chokehold and I know, it’s meant to be told differently than the things we already know of greek mythology, and the lore that goes with it, but it was still surprising in what ways the author ended up doing it and she did it SO well. Actual perfection. I love this sm. I’m very excited for the second book, and I hope it will be as unpredictable as this one.
