Reviewed by HannahEs klang vielversprechend und aus der Idee hätte etwas werden können. Leider bestand die Geschichte größtenteils nur aus ständigem Hin und Her der Protagonistin. Von dem Plot blieb leider nicht viel über und die Romance zwischen Bjorn und Freya war an vielen Stellen auch viel zu übertrieben schnulzig als sie erst nehmen zu können.

Auf den ersten 100 Seiten muss man allerdings die entmündigte Lage von Freya aushalten, die eigentlich nur wie ein Besitz hin und her geschoben wird. In diesem Buch wird dieser Zustand jedoch nicht verherrlicht, sondern bildet die Grundlage auf der die Protagonistin sich emanzipiert. Der Love Intetest ist einer der besseren; die Liebesbeziehung entwickelt sich allerdings recht linear und auch der Plot ist nicht sonderlich überraschend, dennoch möchte man wissen, wie die Geschichte weitergeht. Es gab ein paar hervorstechende Elemente in diesem Buch, wie z.B. die Skadin, die mit ihrer Gesangs - Magie, Geschichten so erzählt, dass andere sie miterleben können, welche dem Buch einen besonderen touch gibt. Auch die Stimmung und die nordische Mythologie wurde gut eingefangen und daher einfach ein guter Fantasy - Read.
