I don’t even know how to describe all things that happened in this book. Even though you think it’s dystopian literature, as you start the book you will realize quite fast that this is a mockery of our current real life. I got sad and angry so often throughout this book, but not because of the book itself or whatever was written in it. It was because I knew that the words the situations and thinking that was happening inside, were so close to some people‘s realities right here in our society. I must say it was advertised with a shocking twist, but I’m not sure if that happened. One thing happened which I anticipated before the other thing really include the twist and the third thing might have been a shock to someone and a twist but it wasn’t huge enough. So really would like to talk to someone about this. Even though for the storyline, what happened to Belle makes a lot of sense. I feel like the thing that actually would happen would be the other way around and after the ceremony scenes I really thought it could happen which would’ve just undermined the point of the book a little bit more. Especially because the back of the book says there is a third option or asking what if there is a third option but there really isn’t a third option because Belle just becomes the second option and they don’t create in ulterior third option where you float in between the two options or anything else so I kinda don’t get the third option part.
