Meh to be fair I did think it was jsut a duology and forgot about that book so I'm a bit late. But I expected better I didn't give me much the first half was great but the second a bit disappointing
Diesmal verschlägt es Alex Easton und Angus nach Amerika. Ihr alter Freund Dr Denton bittet sie um Hilfe, als ein Verwandter von ihm unter mysteriösen Umständen verschwindet. In den Tiefen einer alten Mine warten unerwartete Dinge und neue Grauen auf das Trio. Nach "What moves the Dead" und "What feasts at Night" der dritte Teil der Sworn Soldier Reihe und leider bislang der Schwächste. Es ist immer noch ein spannendes Buch mit einer interessanten Geschichte, aber mir persönlich war es einfach etwas zu viel über die Gefahren von Bergbau und Minenschächten und zu wenig Kreatur. Es hat einfach zu lange gedauert bis man sich dem eigentlichen Thema der geheimnisvollen Lebensform und nicht "nur" einstützenden Minenschächten und der Gefahr von Gasansammlungen etc gewidmet hat.
