Wie bisher jedes Buch, welches ich von Grady Hendrix gelesen habe, war auch „we sold our souls“ einfach einmalig. Auch wenn er öfters Themen aufgreift, bei denen man denkt „das hab ich ja schon 100x in div. Variationen gelesen“ ist es doch jedes Mal eine einzigartige Geschichte, die richtig Spaß macht. Die Protagonistin, Kris ist total nachvollziehbar und sympathisch- auch wenn ich mir zwischendurch unsicher war, wie psychisch stabil die Gute ist. An einer Stelle wurde die Geschichte dann etwas brutal und eklig, aber auch dass ist nichts Neues, wenn man Hendrix schon ein Mal gelesen hat. Auch die anderen Charaktere sind toll beschrieben und manchmal weiß man nicht, ob jemand „gut“ oder „böse“ ist, also genau das was eine gute Geschichte aus macht! Zum Ende wird die Geschichte sehr viel, daher nur die 4 Sterne, das liegt aber eher daran, dass das Buch eben auf Englisch ist. (Eigentlich ja auch nicht, was ich wirklich bemängeln dürfte) Deswegen musste ich Passagen in den letzten 2 Kapiteln öfters lesen und musste mir Zusammenhänge selbst erklären. Dennoch hat es mir viel Spaß gemacht und ich freue mich auf weitere Bücher 😌
