This is the perfect Autumn read! Rowan is desperate for a new job as a nanny and when she is offered the position of live-in nanny with Sandra and Bill Elincourt and their children. Everything seems perfect until Rowan hears creaks in the house at night and strange things begin to happen. The story is told from Rowan’s perspective and the reader knows from the beginning in, that she is in jail for killing a child but she claims she is innocent. Who is the dead child- and is Rowan indeed innocent? There is no better month and season to read this book. It has a real spooky feel to it and the suspense is kept until the end. I really enjoyed the twists along the way and am excited to read Ruth Ware’s next book.
