Reviewed by Ali Gattosome parts were so good and well written that I thought I would definitely give it a 5 and then some parts would be just mediocre and I felt myself being disappointed. Realistically, Roman and Eleonora would have never survived. Even Sara's survival was surprising to me. The description of their life outside of the ghetto during the war seemed unrealistic as well. From what I know, rations were incredibly small even for non-Jewish Poles, businesses were shut down or turned over to the Germans, and there were street roundups and executions for Polish citizens. They would have really struggled for fresh fruit, butter, eggs, and meat. Even if Piotr was that well off, it creates the illusion that life in Poland in WW2 wasn't that bad for non-Jewish Poles, even though it was.
